Swansea City defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kyle-Bartley-c21555, is desperate to make a speedy return to the team and admitted his frustration over being on the sidelines.
The South http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 club acquired the services of the 21-year old during the summer window for an estimated 1 million pounds transfer fee.
However, since then, he has only managed to make a single appearance for the Swans, as he picked up a thigh injury during training.
The defender has now been out of action for almost five weeks. It is expected that he will take another seven to eight weeks to complete his convalescence process and could well make a comeback late in December.
Bartley’s injury came as a huge setback for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup, who also lost the services of veteran Neil Taylor for the remainder of the season. The Welsh footballer fractured his ankle in a league game against Sunderland.
Anyhow, the former Sheffield United player let out his bemusement over the way he picked up his injury.
He said that initially, he felt no pain in his thigh after the training and it was only through later scans that he came to know of the predicament.
However, he was optimistic of making an expeditious recovery and was desperate to get back to the team’s fold.
“I've reached the five-week stage today, I've been for a scan recently and I was told it was coming along well,” he is reported to have said.
“I've got another eight weeks of recovery ahead of me, so I am getting there. It wasn't too bad in the first couple of weeks, but then you're out of the group and in the gym on your own a lot.”
“But I can't push myself too much too soon as I could knock my recovery back, even though it has been very frustrating for me.”
The English stopper’s absence has had a profound effect on his side’s performance, who lost their way following a sparkling start to the campaign.
His and Taylor’s injury forced Laudrup into taking contingency measures, as he signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dwight-Tiendalli-c11774 on the Bosman ruling in order to strengthen his rearguard.
