  1. davenport.  the crowd will be behind davenport, so it might be a bit hard for bartoli to win.  and davenport has kind of the same game as bartoli, hard ground strokes and not so strong moving ability.  but davenport has a lot more experience so she will take the match.

  2. Bartoli

  3. davenport, she just has more experience.

  4. I think Davenport will win. She finally seems injury free and despite being 32, is one of the best players on tour-especially on hard courts. Bartoli is nothing special as aren't most of the women's players at the moment but I think if Davenport can stay injury-free she could be no.1 again and the oldest in a while to do so.

    Davenport 7-5 6-3

  5. Davenport that seems obvious she has more experience!Bartoli don't have a chance

  6. that will be a good match, i think davenport will win it but maybe in 3 sets

  7. This is Davenport's comeback! I see her making it to the semi's (That's right potentialy having to beat Jankovic) Bartoli hasn't done anything since 2007 Wimbledon. It'll be tight though and I see Lindsay coming out strong.

  8. i think bartoli can beat davenport..... if she takes alot of the balls early and hits crazy angles on davenport, and takes the angles away from davenport she can beat her that way...

both hit very flat and hard....it will be a matter of who can out hit who, and who can cut more angles....

I think if bartoli beat jankovic and justine henin at wimbledon in 2007 when she was having her dream run.. she can potentiall take out a outdated veteran player

  9. Davenport should win. Should.

With her huge serve, tremendous groundstrokes, return game, and power, she should hold off Bartoli. However, Lindsay has never been one to move too well, bad thigh/leg, or not, so if

Marion can retrieve balls and get Lindsay on the run, Bartoli could find herself a winner. At same time though, I think Lindsay is also playing doubles, mixed, so this is either her last hurrah and wants to do it all, or is feeling no pain with her knee and the time spent on court wont affect her.  I think Davenport could prevail 7-5  6-3. With a win, she could find herself within top 20 again.
