Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 midfielder, Joey Barton has gone on to apologize to the team’s fans, following his sending off in the last game of the season.
The midfielder went on to elbow http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez at the edge of the area, in what was an off the ball tackle. The linesman saw the incident almost immediately and went on to signal to the referee, that a foul had taken place.
The referee then had no option, but to go on and show the former City player a straight red for his actions.
On his way off the pitch, Barton went on to kick http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Micah-Richards-c25259 managed to go on and resolve the incident before any further
red cards were shown.
Following the game, Barton took to his Twitter account to apologize for his actions, as he is reported to have said: "Can do nothing but apologise to the players and the fans"
"Still don't think its a sending off. Tried to take 1 of their players with me....”

"Still not my proudest moment but who gives a f*ck, we are safe..........and that is all that matters."
He then admitted that he only acted out in the end, because he tried to get a City player to get sent off as well. However, given the fact that the team went on to avoid relegation, his actions didn’t have a very negative impact on the team.
"The head was never gone at any stage, once I'd been sent off, one of our players suggested I should try to take 1 of theirs with me......Never worked but god loves a trier. #reallynotbother #wearesafe," he added.
It is still unclear just how long Barton will be banned for, but given the way he behaved while marching off the pitch, it is safe to assume that he might end up missing out on the next five games for QPR, once the season restarts.
At the same time, the club have not yet announced what actions they would be taking against the midfielder and whether he would be fined on a disciplinary basis or not.
