Bary looking forward to another Grade I victory
The Argentinean Horse of the Year award winner Interaction will be sent out as a heavy favourite by Bary Pascal. The trainer believes that Interaction is a strong contender of the Grade I meeting that will kick off in Dubai this March after his trainee Gloria
De Campeao claimed victory in the Dubai World Cup that took place in the beginning of this year.
Talking to the correspondents all the way from Chantilly, Bary was reported as saying, “The overall aim is hopefully to run him in the Sheema Classic; however he will run in the Maktoum Challenge on February 3 first. We will see how he runs on the Tpaeta
and then decide after we might switch on the turf over 2400 metres.”
He further added, “Physically he is very good-looking and has a lot of acceleration so I am optimistic that he will run very well. Interaction is a lot like Gloria in that he only goes left handed and needs to be in the warmth to show his best, and there
is no reason why he can’t do as well.”
The 3-year-old colt Interaction is owned by Jose Cerillo and Fernando Fantini. The South American champion started training under the care of Bary last year in May.
The first time the son of Easing Along contended an event for his trainer was back in August. He finished seventh from the field of eight in the event that took place at Longchamp. This was the first race that was run by Interaction after he claimed victory
in the Grade I Gran Premio International Carlos Pellegrini that took place in December, last racing season.
After his seventh running, the trainer called off his plans of running Interaction in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
After his racehorse Gloria De Campeao took over the field at Meydan in the Dubai World Cup, Bary aims to clinch another success in a Grade I event at Dubai. Acknowledging Interaction, Bary also said, “Interaction showed enormous quality in South America
and his debut with me was average but not as bad as all that in my opinion.”
Apart from Pascal Bary, trainer Michael Bell is also planning a vigorous international campaign with his racehorse Wigmore Bell. He will first run him in Meydan, Dubai after he finalizes his plans of sending him out to Hong Kong and Singapore for some of
the richest racing events of the season.
