The Dutch striker, who started his professional career at FC Emmen in the 2007/08 season, was plying his trade at Heerenveen since the summer of 2010. The prolific hit-man netted an impressive 32 goals in 34 Eredivisie matches
in the 2011/12 campaign to be crowned Dutch top tier’s leading goal-scorer of the season.

The technically gifted striker has expressed his delight after joining the Bundesliga outfit, and has revealed that he had always dreamt about playing in the German top tier.

The Wolves head coach, Felix Magath, was pleased after his side successfully secured the tall striker’s services, and insisted that he will play an important role in his side’s success next season.
“Bas has developed himself rapidly. He is an extremely dangerous player inside the penalty area. He finds it easy to score goals, and I am sure that he will play an important role for us next term”, Magath said while talking to
journalists.
