Base housing and pets?

will i be allowed to keep my two cats if my family and I move into base housing?

  1. yeah im an army brat and we've had 3 cats all our lives on military posts.


  2. you should be able too..normally most bases allow only two pets...and the only base we lived on you had to have microchips put in them in case they got lost not sure if stateside bases do that or not...

  3. Yes you can have the cats.  Some of the places I have been stationed only allow cats to be "indoor" cats, while others haven't cared one way or the other.  So i guess it just depends where you go!

  4. I've been in military housing more then once and it really depends on your rank and the type of housing.  But I do know that COL housing allows you to have 2 dogs.

  5. Yes, for sure.  I know you can't take more than 2 overseas, but you can have at least 3 pets in base housing in the states.

  6. That will not be a problem.  You will just need to register them with Vet on post.  Then take the paper work to the houseing office.

  7. depends.   some housing is pet free.  the typical limit is 2 dogs or cats though.
