  1. a baseball floats in water

and i don't know any major league stadiums in california that are at high altitudes

  2. Day, there are always home runs in day games when the Angels play.  Most cities here are by the coast so it gets cooler here at night, which scientifically means the air gets thicker when it was a warm day.

  3. Well the reason baseball are said to travel better in california is becuase it is very hot and the air particles move around faster  so it is not as thick(dense) and there is less resistance to the ball, its like if you drop a ball in a bowl of maple syrup, it will drop slower and less harder than if you dropped it in water becuase the particles are more packed in the syrup. This is also aided by the fact the CA is very mountainous and the higher altitude also makes the air thin. This would make me believe the ball would travel better in the day becuase the sun is up and it is hotter, if there is a difference at all
