Baseball Trade???

Question

What do you think of this trade???

I give up Edison Volquez SP Cin

I get Miguel Tejada SS

and David Price SP (Minors)

This is a keeper league. Price is a top prospect with expectations to come up 8/1....Volquez is young and good! Tejada is good, but getting up there in age. I need a quality SS.

For a keeper league I think you're giving up a bit too much for the short term.  Tejada's age has to be a factor, and Volquez has been EXTREMELY good this year pitching for a team that hasnt been that great.  The trade itself is fair and could be helpful right away, but I would probably try to pull a younger shortstop.  Essentially your giving away a very young, dominant pitcher for a SS with probably 5 years or less left in the tank.  I guess with Price the trade makes sense, but him being in the minors isnt going to help you at all.  And with the way the Ray's pitching has been going he may not be needed until next season.  They wont rush him if they dont need to.
