Baseball experts agree Ryan Braun should have quit while ahead – MLB News
The elevated saga of Milwaukee Brewers’ left-fielder Ryan Braun and his winning appeal from a 50-game suspension over using Performance Enhancing Drugs (PED) has now ended. However, the debate is still on as to whether he should have quit while filing appeal which turns out to be questioning the level of Major League’s code of conduct regarding the usage of banned drugs in professional sport.
Lately the majority of experts are not pleased as the Brewers’ talented individual went ahead filing an appeal against the verdict. While those who say as he did a right thing to stand tall against his suspension, some are slightly optimistic that this very action of Braun has made things easier for the rest of the professional MLB crowd in the future, as it will help the other players to have their say on any misconduct within the League.
Apart from these experts’ comments, the real story of Ryan Braun’s drug involvement and some background facts were revealed when he himself told the media on Friday, “There were a lot of things we learned about the collector, about the collection process, about the way the entire thing worked that made us very concerned and very suspicious about what could have actually happened.”
However, not much people know about Ryan Braun’s urine samples’ collector Dino Laurenzi Jr., who is considered the real culprit has also lately explained in the media defending his view as what actually went wrong and what really is the misconception that is going on.
“The FedEx Clinic Pack containing Mr. Braun’s samples never left my custody,” Laurenzi said. He added: “At no point did I tamper in any way with the samples. It is my understanding that the samples were received at the laboratory with all tamper-resistant seals intact.”
According to some other impartial experts, the case of Braun stands with logic and if any negligence had been made by any side including the collector or the MLB authorities, the real damage and scratches of distrust made the League management more embarrassed than Ryan Braun or his late act of possibly cheating.
