  1. After watching generations of his family (Barry, Bobby, Willie Mays & Bobby Bonds Jr.) play baseball for the SF Giants organization, I think that it was exciting that Barry was able to make it after his Hawaiian vacation and thank the fans and SF Giants for their recognition of players past and present.  Since I started following Barry's career when he attended Serra HS in my hometown of San Mateo until his "last" MLB at-bat, there's been nothing to ever place doubt in my mind that he's one of the greatest sluggers to play the game.

Meeting him in person at Candlestick/PacBell/AT&T Parks in the locker room, at his All Star Game "afterparty", at my workplace at EA Sports as well as when he dropped by the old neighborhood of San Mateo/Foster City, CA were probably the best times I've had meeting a MLB star.  He's generous, kind, friendly and accommodating to his fans, and never shows one tiny bit of hostility when sadly the media labels him as having a bad attitude.....

He deserves a chance to get signed by an AL team as a DH, even for one more season and then hopefully will get a chance to work within the SF Giants Front Office when he eventually retires.

  2. I taught it was kind of weird , but ehh i dont care if he come back or not

  3. I did'nt think he would show, but i kinda think it was cool. I hope he plays again and shuts up all these weak a$$ haters.

  4. It doesnt matter to me, if he wants to play he should play.  But if he comes back he has to be willing to talk to media after the game, and not be so secretive.  He needs to do more of the talking, instead of his agent.

  5. it was terrible

je said he wanted to comeback and coach college kids

    great influence...

  6. i think he cheated and doesn't deserve to come back......he made rude comments to the opposing team and i didn't like it

  7. He WANTS to play again but he wont get the chance to.....he should retire before people forget about him! It was nice that he actually showed up!

  8. i loved his appearance.i was actually there...i think he should play again if he wants

  9. He might have used roids bu he didn't even really need them.  Even before he was using them he was still playing HOF worthy ball.

  10. Personally, I don't want to see him again. I'd like to leave it in the history books and let baseball move on. That being said, regardless of what he may have done, if he has the desire to play and there is a team that wants his services...I wouldn't be one to say he shouldn't do it.  I would imagine that he misses the game...

  11. As a proud member of the Bonds Squad (138 at AT&T), it was great to see Barry again.  Just his presence at the park led to a buzz that has been missing.  He gave us Giants fans a ton of memories, and it was nice for us to be able to give him one last "Barry! Barry!"

Unfortunately I believe he is done playing, so it was great for him, us Giants fans, and good for him to show up with the other OF's and acknowledge the organization and fans.
