Is it location? Is it liking that team because that's who your Dad liked growing up? What exactly makes you stay faithful in being a fan to "your team"??

  3. i got hooked on the yankees b/c i love all the players on that team.  Jeter, A-Rod, Giambi, Damon, Clemens (when he was on the team), Posada, Matsui, and Pettite.  And there tight butts.... lol(:  baseball players r hot.

    ~GO YANKEES~

  4. For me, it is all about location and family. I am a Yankee fan. Born and raised in NY and my dad is a Yankee fan. He started taking me to games from when I was a little girl

  5. My is a huge LA Dogers fan. I went to my first Dodgers game when I was a few months old. And I have been a fan ever since.

  6. my dad. he is a huge baseball fan and I have always watched the games with him, even though I don't like the same team he does but I still watch baseball with him.

  7. My dad was a Twins fan. We used to watch Puckett, Gaetti, etc. & we were thrilled when they won the WS in '87 & '91. He passed away shortly after, and I am so glad he got to see his favorite baseball team win it all before he died. I will never root for another team, but I can & do respect many other teams & players.

  8. Location, watched with Dad since an infant, etc.

Faithful because you're not a true fan if you jump on the bandwagon of other teams once they start doing well. (we all know examples of these people so no need to point fingers)

  9. i like the yankees because my dad did growing up.  and my older brother would teach me how to say players names when i was a baby and stuff. im not really sure why i love the yankees so much (i live in boston), but its just loving to watch every game, every day. i hate it when people are all of a sudden huge fans when a team starts winning. it drives me crazy!

  10. well, not really location although i do live about an hour away from angels stadium. I love watching the angels because of the way they play the game. Scoscia is a great manager and i think its a real professional and talented ballclub. There isn't THAT many big names on the team and every player can and does contribute in some way.. whether he's bunting, stealing, pinch hitting/running, defense etc etc. they do whatever they can do win.. I love how they're all about old school pitching and defense. small ball is a thrill ^^

    go halos!

  11. How good the players look in their uniforms - tight butts!!!

    GO RED SOX!!

  12. atmosphere of the location... the history of fenway, the love and support the fans share with the red sox.

  13. What's near & dear. I have lived in or near St.Louis most of my life. There are areas that give me a special feeling when I

go there. It's the same with a team. You get to know their faces and names. You feel a kin ship with them.

  14. I'm a NY Mets fan and yes I'm from ny I have my reason why I'm a Met fan my grandpa and I use to watch all the Met games when he died I felt I should contuine because it brought a relationship like a father. Everytime I watch a game or go see them I feel his presents with me. I'm going to buy a customade jesery I wear my baseball hat my mom wants to throw away lol but im keepin it I really wanna get a tattoo wit there logo. I been a Met fan ever since when they loose I call them bums n still watch them

  15. My dad has been a Yankees fan since he was 6 years old in 1958 in Connecticut.  I just grew up paying attention to the Yankees because that's what my dad does.  Simple as that.

  16. First out of curiosity and well em being back then 3 years ago 13, i became a Yankee Fan

    and i live in CALIFORNIA

    not close to new York

  17. I was born into a Cubs family.  Literally, I was brought home from the hospital wearing Cubby blue.  I love the history of the Cubs, the tradition of the team, the stadium they play in and the faithful and loyal fans that follow this team and stand by them through the good times and the bad ones.

  18. I'm an Indians fan. I was born in Cleveland, I was little in the 90s when they found success, I grew up with that. I love them now because I watched them build this team starting in 2003 when Bartolo Colon was traded for Grady Sizemore and Cliff Lee (among others). I watched them develop and progress into a successful ballclub in 2007. it was so satisfying. unfortunately they took a step backwards this year, but the team will be tweaked and i'm sure they'll contend in 2009.
