  1. The biggest difference is that you can still acquire a player through waivers after the trade deadline

  2. yea ik

  3. 1. I am a girl

    2. I live in England

therefore i have no idea what you are saying!!

  4. I am just getting two points on this, but jizzmaster and gentry together are 100% correct.

  5. jizzmaaster is mostly correct.  One thing he lest out is the part about blocking claim.  If a team A places a player on waivers and a claim is made by Team C, then that claim can be "blocked" by any team lower in the standings that team A.  In this case the player does not clear waivers and has to remain on team A, or some negotiations will take place between the three teams.

  6. A trade is just where teams swap players straight-up.

When a player is placed on waivers, each team gets an opportunity to place a claim. If a team places a claim then the player's original team can either make a trade with that team or take the guy off waivers if they don't wish to trade with that team.

If you don't make the trade and then put the player on waivers again, then you MUST make a trade with whoever places a claim.

If multiple teams place a claim, the team with the worst record gets priority.

Any trade that occurs after the trading deadline (July 31) must go through the waiver process.

    EDIT: Thanks Gentry.
