Baseball running workout?

well im a little overweight and ive noticed that during baseball i was running kind of slow. how much should i run at home to lose weight and improve my baserunning in baseball?

  1. To get faster you need to get stronger and practice short top speed sprints (about home to first distance). Try isometrics at home by doing one leg wall sits with back against wall, knee bent just a little and pushing down as hard as possible for 10-30 seconds. Also do glute ham negatives where you kneel down on floor, feet under a couch and lower your upper body down to floor. Stay relaxed and run on ball of foot.
