Baseball stories within the last week..?

Question

I'm going to visit my grandmother in the hospital and I want to tell her a good story from the baseball games she might have missed....

I am not a watcher myself, so I can't tell which stories are "hot topics" among fans. Does anyone have an anecdote I could bring to her?

I'm guessing her favourite team is Toronto, but she watches any baseball she can find.

Milwaukee Brewers won all 7 games on the road the past week including sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.

Brad Ziegler of the Oakland Athletics broke and set a new record for consecutive scoreless innings at the start of his career (unfortunately, this was done against my Rangers).

Manny, is indeed, being Manny.  He wants to be traded and is, I quote "tired of this team".  How's that for loyalty?

Speaking of the Red Sox, they avoided getting swept by the Yankees last night, winning 9-2.

Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers hit his 23rd home run and drove in his 100th RBI.

Freddy Sanchez of the Pirates hit an inside-the-park-homerun.

Um... I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of my head. =D
