  1. Pepper is when a group of fielders are in a curved line about 15 feet from a (coach) hitter. He hits grounders to the fielders who then toss the ball to the hitter, who then hits another grounder to the line. The reason you see signs for "

No Pepper" is that no pepper is allowed in front of the stands. Its easy for a ball to be hit wrong and a line drive go into the stands.

when I was in Little League in the early 1970s, pepper was how we warmed up before games.

  2. Pepper is a game where 2 or more people stand very close (about 10 to 15 feet away) to somebody who hits fast grounders at them, and they try to catch the grounders. It is banned because it is very easy to get hurt

  3. its when there is 3-5 players in a curved line the 10-15' from a player with a bat. the batter hits the ball on the ground to the other players who Field it with no glove. if i player misses the ball they go to the end of the line. if the batter hits the ball in the air then that batter goes to the end of the line and the person in the front moves to the batting position
