Why or why not? Ruth, Aaron, Mantle, Mays, Musial, Bonds, Williams, Cobb, DiMaggio, Gehrig, Hornsby, ... Rodriguez?

  1. I could name 15 players I'd put ahead of A-Rod.

  2. I am not sure I would put him there yet, but by the end of his career I am sure he will be up there.  He should have the career homeruns record by the time he retires (assuming he stays healthy).

  3. I find him very offensive.  Cobb was the most offensive, though.  He beat up a disabled man.

  4. If he would of stayed healthy,Griffey Jr.would have been the one to break Hanks HR record, and yes,if A-Rod stays healthy,he will be the one

  5. I'm a Yankee fan, and my answer is yes, only because he's most likely going to break the all-time homers record.

    But:

    1. His clutch hitting this year is awful (but it was underrated the past few years)

    2. He has never helped his team to a championship. That's a major knock on him.

  6. Offensively with a bat, he's probably somewhere in the top twenty. Offensively as a person, he's definitely in the top five. Everytime they show him, he has a sour look on his face like someone just stole his favorite toy. On the field, it's too hard to compare different eras. For instance, Willie Mays only stole a base if it would help his team win a game. If he was like Rickey "Everybody look at ME!" Henderson, Mays could have easily stolen 90 bases a year. Also, the specialized pitching today would probably have cut down on the stats of players in the past.

  7. Yes he is most definately ranked in the top 15.  He still has probably 10 years left in him and if he continues the way he has he may go don as the best player to ever play the game.

  8. offensive mean what he does with the bat as opposed to the glove.  not offensive what kind of person he is.

but yeah a-rod is definately up there in the top 15.

  9. i think a-rod may go down as the best run producer the game has ever seen. so yes i would and he has 10 years left if he decides to play out his entire contract, so he has plenty of time to cement himself as potentially the best all-around offensive player MLB has ever seen.
