Based on the analogies of Homo Sapiens and Neandertals, and the homoplasy of Caucasians and other races around the world, what do you think about the perception of Europeans as a non-human species?

can anyone help me answer this question

  1. What factors would go into making Europeans "non-human" and a separate species? Arguing against it is the fact that there no problem with breeding, no obvious distinguishing characteristics, and, given the last 500 years of global population movement, no way to distinguish they are a species.

It has been proposed that Neanderthals interbreed with humans. The "however"  is DNA sequencing has shown Neanderthals aren't part of our lineage and interbreeding wasn't possible. We both appear to descend from Homo eretus with the Neanderthals adapting to the ice age climate.

There is a hotly debated (and a bit insulting) theory that Neanderthal genes are present in the human population and the cause of autism, ADHD and other problems.

"If this theory is correct, we would expect autism and ADHD to be disorders almost exclusive of European populations. They would be unheard of in Asia or Africa. It is known that the prevalence of autism does not have any significant ethnic dependency."

In short, a heritage of Neanderthal genes in Europeans is unlikely and unproven. Therefore perceiving "Europeans as a non-human species" is unreasonable
