  1. tampa,i mean im not a lightning fan(yes i no my name is lightning hockey but thats my highschool teams name)but look at who they got this year, they took prospal back, plus st louis, lechavlier(i dont know how to spell his name),ryan malone, olaf kolzig, they are lookin pretty good right now but i would also go with chicago there rookies are amazing, pat kane and toews are goin to light it up

  2. The Ottawa Senators.

  3. I'd have to say it'll be Detroit again. The free agent market this season was overall quite poor and most teams that had a dramatic increase in talent somewhere had a huge drop.

Pittsburgh lost Malone, Roberts, and Hossa for their offense, which was the main thing propelling them through the playoffs.

Dallas just pretty much put in a bit of grit with Avery.

Anaheim, well, I just don't see them doing much better. Selanne has yet to resign with them yet, if at all, and they didn't add too much.

Nobody else other than those teams and Detroit really had a too great shot at the cup last season and I just don't see them having breakthrough years.

Detroit, on the other hand, now has 6 potential 30 goal scorers (Cleary [longshot, but he was doing pretty good before his jaw injury], Holmstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Hossa, Franzen) in addition to a crisis on their bottom two lines where Wings fans the world over have absolutely no idea where to stash the bottom echelon of Detroit's talent and a defense that dominated throughout the playoffs and will look the exact same as last season.

Detroit repeats is what I'm saying, but Dallas will give them a run in the Western finals again.

  4. I hate to say it but I think this is the Pens year. Now Crosby and Malkin have another year of experiance and they know what they need to do to get the cup.

  5. Dallas Stars. All of our youngsters stepped their game up and helped out the veterans during the playoffs last year and lead us all the way to the Western Confrence Finals. I think we could get to the Stanley Cup Finals this year and possibly even win it. We also added gritty forward Sean Avery in the off-season.

  6. The Ottawa Senators
