Based on this criteria (inside) what digital camera would you recommend for me?

I am 18 years old and on a budget. I would say I could spend $250 max, but would like to keep it under $180. Cheaper than $120 would be ideal.

Cost is a big issue (dorm living puts me at a higher risk of theft and I don't want to lose anything of particularly high value), but photos of a decent quality are a must. 5mp minimum.

I am going to start a photo-a-day image journal, so it must be durable and compact. I'll be taking it everywhere.

Must also be user-friendly. I know my way around a computer and can figure out most electronics, but I am in no way a techie. I need something simple. Point and click to take photos and easily upload them onto a comp. That's what I need.

In short:

-inexpensive

-quality photos

-compact

-durable

-simple

it would easy to get  wrong one,but canon

    shot A560 is the answer,why easy use,work

well with computer, perfect pictures and

they have a warranty $25.00 more for two

year cover  everything even if you throw it against the wall ,also makes movies

total price should be about $170.00 out the

what you will need!!!! you will love it,

  2. Okay. well me and my mom both got a Sony Cybershot... mines 6 megapixils and its awesome quality. it was 150 dollars. my moms is a sony cybershot 7.2 megapixils and is a little bit better quality... hers was 199 dollars.

  3. I've had two Canon Digital Elphs. They're about the smallest camera you can get, they're point-and-click, and the quality is great:

I have that exact camera, actually, and I have no complaints! (It's good for recording video, too)

However, I also wrote reviews for these cameras, if you're interested (I'm E. Kay):

  4. I like the Sony Cyber-Shot 5.1 digital camera I had before I upgraded.  Takes very good photos, has a lot of good features, and you should be able to find it for pretty inexpensive since it's an older style camera.
