  1. lay them all out flat on a blanket under a shaded tree until they dry.  or put a heater in the bathroom and get the temperature up to about 85 degrees for a couple of days.

  2. yah what

  3. I work in the field of recovery of data and the first thing you should do(You should of done it immediately after the insident). Get a piece of cotton and bit by bit dry the tape with it slowly. Afterwards, to prevent de-magnetisym of the tape blow all of the tape and end and pre tape on low setting with your hairdryer!!

Good Luck, if you need more support look up Critical Buisness Recovery Experts.

  4. PRECIOUS? You sound like Gollum from LOTR

Take them to Wolf Camera and they will transfer all of your tapes into DVDs for $18 ea.

    =$900

  5. just try drying the film tape and wind it back in

  6. Just leave them in a dry place at room temperature.  How badly they're affected will depend on how long they were in the water and whether anything else was in the water e.g.oil.

  7. HUH?

  8. You can take the casings apart.  leave the wheels in place and pull the backing off and let them dry... the tapes will more than likely not work anymore.

  9. You are almost certainly SOL.  You could try drying them, and forwarding and rewinding them from time to time, but the results are likely to be unsatisfactory.

  10. blow dryer

  11. No, looks like ur precious little tapes are a waste

  12. I wouldn't use a heater, if they are damaged by water there's nothing you can do.

Just spread them out and let them air dry.
