Question:

Basement floor drain has water and dirt backing up? ?

Just had this entire pipe replaced less then a year ago from the old steel drain pipe to a new pvc pipe. They had to jack harmer the basement up and everything.

Now it's backing up into my laundry room right where they "FIXED" the drain problem

My question is should the plumber company who originally repaired this be responsible to fix this because I think it's less then a year ago, a year ago, or just maybe a month over a year ago tops, or am I responsible for this mess?

I mean they replaced all these pipes to fix the drain problem and now it's backing up ?

We haven't had any rain lately so I know it can't be a sewer problem

  1. You definitely have a sewer drain stoppage somewhere outside the building. The original plumber has no liability for a stoppage, unless he piped it wrong.  Find a local plumber with a camera, and let him inspect the inside of your system.  The camera shows everything!  Good luck

  2. Just try running a snake down your drain to try and clear up any blockage you have.
