  1. if it hits the ground then yes. If the 3rd basemen catches it before it hits the ground then no.

  2. if the base is tagged then there is no force on the guy going towards home plate..on any type of force play situation, if a an out is recorded at a base, all of the runners past that base would not be forced anymore

so in that situation, the runner going to second (and first for that matter) can still be forced out, but the runner advancing towards home is not, because the out was recorded behind him

  3. nope u need to tag him now

  4. I think you'll rarely see that play with 1 out. Usually the third baseman will just touch third and throw to first for the double play. No need to make that throw home at that angle.

But if that's what's done, then yes the runner heading home needs to be tagged cause he doesn't have anyone on 3rd forcing him home.

  5. No

The runner that was one 3rd can now go back.

  6. no becuase the runner going home can still go to third since you got the runner on 2nd going to 3rd base out. there can only be a force out at home plate if the ball hit to the 3rd baseman throws to home first. you can throw home then 1st, 2nd then 1st, home then 3rd or 3rd then 1st other plays may cause you a run for the other team.

  7. yes it is because the ball was already hit and if it is bases loaded no matter how many outs there are it is still a force

  8. No, when 3rd base was touched home plate isn't a force out. The runner would have to be tagged.

  9. I want to say no and i think I will, you have to tag the runner out at home.

  10. The only time you can get a double force out is when a triple play is being attempted.  after tagging third the runner going home would have to be tagged.

  11. No because then there would be no one at 2nd to force the runner on 3rd home. You would have to tag out the man going home.

  12. No more force out once you tag the base at 3rd if you throw home the catcher or who ever is covering the plate better tag the runner before he touches home if the runner gets in he's safe if he's tagged before he touches the place he's out. The runner could also go back to third base as well.

  13. No. You removed the force when you put out the runner from second. The runner from third can now retreat to third.
