The packet does have the explanation which i do semi-understand but the exponents confuse me. We are given a table in which the Factor thingy has an exponent but I do not see the exponents given. I have never done Chemistry, so do not expect me to understand many technical terms. I also have trouble understanding finding Density knowing the mass and the area the object occupies...

If an unknown solid weighs 84.0 grams and occupies 27.9cm cubed of space, what is its density?
What is the mass if a liquid having a density of 1.40g/ml and a volume of 3090 ml?
What volume would a 220-gram sample of gold have if its density is known to be 19.3 g/cm^3?
A solid black of substance is 74.0cm by 55.0cm by 35.0cm and it weighs 569kg. Assuming that it did not chemically react with water nor disolve in it, would it float in water?
I MUST show my work, so I'm not as much in it for the answer (although I am to some degree...heh... as much as understanding the concepts...the Teacher I have next year does not give 'A's easily(Students and the Teacher tell me this..she is nice just...not easy) so I would benefit from understanding more.
