Okay, I just bought a 99 Automatic Acura Integra but I have no knowledge about anything it...lol [My Problem] Okay so heres a little list of questions any help would be great!! =D

First off the previous owner put some good work into the vehicle was in an accident and the complete front bumper was damaged and I am almost completly done...mostly body work and electrical and a paint job coming soon and I know little about the work done...What I do know is the guy has put

1. Headers [3 were dented a bit in the accident, does this effect anything?]

2. Theres a switch next to the gear shifter [say I and II]

3. The engine has a black cover, not red and it says Honda

4. Engine has racing fuel injectors [or from what I was told, they are thick blue tubes coming from the top of the engine]

5. Had a racing ignition, was removed

6. Exhaust System new

7. Cold Air Intake with Racing Air Filter

8. Full Body Kit

Now what I need to know is...

1. What trim is it? - SE[GS], LS, Type-R, GSR?

2. What engine is it?

3. Whats the switch by the gear shifter?

4. Is there any manual or diagram that can help me learn more about whats under the hood and the specs?

5. Where can I get a rim lock key because the rims are damaged and need to be removed without being cut.

6. Pretty sure there is a chip installed, but how do I find out for sure?

7. Is there any recommendations for what I should replace at this point or clean just to be on the safe side?

  1. 1: Its not a gs-r, most likely an ls (sunroof and power windows/locks/alloy rims) or SE (special edition) this will have leather interior. Gs will have no power or sunroof. along with hubcaps.

2:The engine is a B18b, non VTEC, 140bhp (you can verify this by looking on the engine block right next to the headers on the left, the code is casted into the metal)

3: Not sure about what switch your talking about, might be aftermarket. Could be Drive and overdrive, im drawing a blank.

4:Yes a Chilton or Haynes Manual, found at most car shops (autozone)

5:Usually you can break them off, if you need a key i would do some calling around to tire shops im sure they will be able to take it off for you.

6: If a "chip" is installed into the car it would be hard wired into the ECU (engine computer) It is located behind the passenger side kick panel (to the right) Now you would have to open the actual computer up to verify this. If nothing is seriously modified on the car i wouldnt doubt that a chip is not actually installed. Ask him what kind of chip it is and do some research.

7:Your going to want to do a timing belt if this has not been done in awhile or if your not sure when it was done, new belts (a/c and power steering also alternator) Cooling system flush, transmission flush, for sure an oil change. This is just alot of stuff that will ensure your car will last awhile. I hope you understand most of this and it helps you out.
