  1. Some traffic tickets can be resolved by attending traffic school.

You may then have the option of attending traffic school to erase the points on your license. Many are even offered online.

You will be charged a traffic school fee, which is usually the same amount as the fine would be. Then, submit your completion certificate to the court. If you're usually ticket-free, the points shouldn't even show up on your record.

If you had a more serious infraction (a two-point infraction), you won't be able to take traffic school to dismiss the charges.

From my understanding, if you challenge it and loose then you are not allowed to take the traffic school.....

  2. yea you can get arrested for 20 over when you go to traffic school you can pick what type

you should also take racing school

  3. 30 over the speed limit is no longer speeding, it is now considered reckless driving, especially in a 40mph zone. GOOD LUCK!!!

  4. Well if you were traveling 30mph over the speed limit, that usually means you have a mandatory court appearance to go to. The officer will most likely show up, so don't count on the officer not showing up.

As far as the fine goes, i believe the fine for going 26+ mph in CA was somewhere around $375 last i heard. Add your traffic school fee, which is usually a fee you pay to the court  + cost of traffic school. So your ticket will likely be over $400. Insurance can go up as much as 25% for a single ticket in some cases. If your insurance finds out you were exceeding the limit by 30mph, i'm sure they will have a field day with your rates.

30mph over the limit might also mean you lose automatic traffic school permission. So you'll have to ask the judge to do traffic school or not. Either case, 25mph+ is usually a mandatory appearance, so you can ask the judge there. Also, i believe going 30mph over the limit is a 2 point ticket. Which means even if you did do traffic school, you'll only remove 1 point from your record, and you'd still have 1 point left.

All i can say is i hope you didn't admit to the officer in anyway that you were in fact speeding. Cause even if he/she asked you "do you know why i stopped you?" and you said "yes, for speeding" your pretty much admitting guilt, which can and will be used against you by the officer.
