Basic Training : Family Day.?

Question

My boyfriend is graduating basic training September 5th ! and im going down with his family for family day too. how does both of them go?

like what should i expect? and any tips on anything at all dealing with it.

depends on where he is doing basic.  In fort knox i was given 2 days and 1 night out.  We got a hotel room, and you can do basically whatever you want as long as you don't get in trouble and are back in time.  You'll probably be given a tour of there "area".  But I'm sure that changes slightly depending on where he is for basic.

I can only tell you about my experience when I graduated in 1994 at ft. Benniing, Ga. The family sat in bleachers on the parade ground while the platoons competed in Drill and Ceremony competitions etc. There was time after that for pictures and milling around. The families got to see the barracks and company area. We then had a few hours to drive around the base to show them. Every experience will be different. Just relax and see what happens.

My husband is at BT too. I checked out this website. 7 women who had husbands there wrote all about Family Day and Graduation Day. Just click on Fort Jackson and read what the first wife wrote, then go back and click on each number to read what the other 6 women wrote. I found it to be the ONLY informative website on the internet. And it doesnt stop as BT either... it goes through EVERYTHING on being a Military Spouse/Girlfriend. I sumbitted it to all the other woman on here who asked the same question and they were all thrilled. =)
