Basic aerobatic airfoil?

I am wanting to create an airfoil for an rc aeroplane that is stable, low-wing, and can go fast with some nice aerobtics.

i have a .46 engine.

  1. Try one of those NACA series airfoils. NACA 0012, 0010, 0015 ectc.

    Most symmetric airfoils will do.


  2. I would use a symmetrical airfoil with maximum thickness at 1/4 chord and a rounded leading edge.  That way it will perform the same inverted as right side up.

  3. This will be a symmetrical airfoil with a positive angle of incidence. Without the positive angle of incidence you will be going nowhere as this is the key to creating lift with a symmetrical airfoil.
