Basic auto cadd question?

hi, i jsut got a new job at a VOD company drawin out hte HVAC units and when i go open hte floor plan of hte building in auto cadd, all you see is jsut the sprinkler system, not the walls or anything, now the company does not own auto cadd achritectural, so any ideas on how to make these appear agian?

  1. perhaps the layer containing the walls is turned off? you can try going to the layer's drop-down menu and clicking the light bulbs next to the layer names.


  2. Adding to the previous answer....another way to get that menu is to type "layers" in the command line.  If the proper layers are turned on (light bulb is yellow) for the appropriate layers, they might be frozen.  Click on the snowflake next to the light bulb until it is white.

  3. The architectural drawing might be a "xRef" into the

    one you're working on.

    If you move either from one folder to another, the program

    can't find it.

    Look at your layers and see if this is the case.

    When you open the file, missing items are noted in a dialog box. It should be there.

  4. try zooming out?
