Basic volleyball??easy 10 pnts?

im trying out for my 8th grade volleyball team and ive never played b4, they said no experience necessary cu they needed players desperately, so i thought id tryout, what are some basic things i need to know? rules of the game, tips on getting better, how to serve, spike, or pass better, etc.

just try.

you'll learn as you go unto tryouts.

watch the better girls and you'll learn from them.

oh yea watch the olympics.

I have played volleyball for 3-4 years, and I train with my trainer, and this summer I have been to several clinics in town, and now am doing a volleyball camp with club. So that's one way you can start.

The rules are;

Keep it in bounds. Obviously.

Don't touch the net with your hands during a game.

Don't cross the mid line.

Don't "lift" the ball with your hands.

Serving took more time. More like 1-2 years to keep my over hand serve consistant. And under hand serving is easy. It totally depends on what you are trying to do.

Spiking; practice left, right, left as your approach, but if you are a lefty, then reverse it. Make it right, left, right. *foot work* And do your vertical jump with your hand slamming an invisable ball.
