Basically, people who where in positions of power (kings, queens, lords, barons etc) in this country?

...got their power through their own cunning, stealth and brutality, then made up rules and regulations to say how things should be done making it harder for themselves to be toppled until somebody (who was more cunning stealthy and brutal than themselves) came along and did exactly to them what they did to others in order to gain power

Can't see a question there, but you are correct in most of what you say.....and of course it still goes on...look at what happens in most of Africa and now Pakistan....dicators, changing the law to keep themselves in power.
