Basicly, what's a URL?

I know it's a UNiform Research Locator, but how do I ..... ya know like understand and apply it into my things and stuff like that. I have an account on YouTube and there was something that dealt with a URL in the account management place. plz help me understand it. and don't use NERDY words to help me understand what it means. OK? Thank you

Its simply a web address, http://www.yahoo.com is a URL.

Think of it as the address of your home
