Question:

Basketball Drill Suggestions?

My basketball team is having a camp for kids k-8. I am in charge of the ball handling station. I need to think of some fun drills that are easy too. Today we did crossover between cones, drill races, and the findamentals (like look up and stuff like that). I would like to have some new drills for tommorow. I was thinking about something like figure 8's between the legs or maybye blindfolding them and making them dribble ( we would make sure they didnt get hurt) Any other ideas?Help is greatly appreciated!

  1. well, i play basketballl and i have handle s(trust me) the things that work out best for me are the two ball dribbles, hight low dribble, same time with two balls, spider drill, like you said figure 8's would be very helpful, try a game wher two kids are dribbling and the try to steal from the other person while still dribblin it helps both defence and offense. hope this helps.ps. try full court between the legs no dribble it elps alot my coach makes us do it all the time ;)

  2. Here's some suggestions:

    1. Dribble with two balls at once.

    2. Make them dribble around cones.

    3. Make a competion of who can dribble the farthest and back from a distance.

    4. Make them do crossover walks.

    5. Make them run laps with basketballs.

    6.  Blindfold them and see who can walk a straight line.

    7. Make sure they are having fun!!!
