  1. I give it a 6.

your form for your arm is good, but you have other problems.

When shooting, you make a mistake that many your age make, you start your shot in your stomach area, you need to start it above your elbow in stead of bringing it down.

and the way you stand as you shoot needs work, cause your bent over kinda.

    Here are some tips:

    1. stand without jumping, in 3 places close to the hoop, and shot with only one hand. Then once you make 3 times from each spot, move back, and do the samething. We did this to get a proper shoting motion in 8th grade, and it helped us win games

    2. lie down, and throw the ball up in a proper form, this will help with muscle memory

    3. shoot free throws, shot them without jumping

anyway, thats all i got, if you need more help, email me

  2. To be honest, the form and motion isn't the worst I've seen.  I'd give it a 7/10 .  If you follow some of these mechanics and tips, it will easily be a 8 or 9/10.

    1) As the first person who answered said; you're starting your shot at your stomach area.  Therefore this forces you to use more upper body strength to put your shot up.  In essence, you're forcing the shot up, and often times it will not allow the ball to release naturally.  This is how you get long shots, or shots that have absolutely little to no arc.

    2) Follow the up and out strategy; you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWuKY2tDR... .

This is quite similar to your shot, however I have noticed that you tend to force that arm forward when shooting just a little bit; which will make your shot a bit inconsistent.

Just work on form shooting, go around the paint; low-block to low-block and shoot two-three makes per each spot.  Work on your form only, and over time you'll get the hang of it.

Remember, the more you shoot, the higher chance of building consistency.  Even bad shooters can make it in basketball as long as they have consistency.

Keep practicing, and I'm sure you'll be fine.

    Good luck.

  3. It looks fine to me...Besides, shorter players usually start their shooting motion near their stomach. I give it a 7/10. Anyways, if you want more range, bend your knees. More leg strength=more propulsion.  So work on those legs.
