Basketball Vertical Jump Enhancers

I've been looking for something that will raise my vertical jump and i was wondering of all of those enhancers really work. the money isn't a problem i just don't want to waist it on something that won't do anything. also any workouts to help gain vertical jump would help too. i do work out I'm just not sure what i am really supposed to do to strengthen those muscles. any suggestions are appreciated.

  1. Lay off pills. They have their proven formulas or whatever, but people's bodies respond to substances differently. There is never a guarantee. If you want to take protein that's fine. Finding the correct training should be your main focus though. The first step is to develop a strength base with squats and deadlifts. Once that is developed, you can get into power lifts like clean and snatch and plyometric drills. There's good info here http://offto.net/jumpjump/

  4. Best you can do is to work the twitch muscles in your calves. I built an inclined board, and jumped from that. This is essentially what all of the vertical jump enhancers do.
