ok so i am a small forward in 10th grade, 5"10 135 pounds, i can run for a long time, i am pretty fast, and strong, good shot and dribble

Whenever i drive in real games i always catch ball by running around like richard hamilton to get open and then i catch it right behind the three point line or 15 feet away, when i drive i just catch and go or do jab and goes or jab and crosses

so heres what i want to know, when can i drive to the rim using moves like crossovers, and through the legs and stuff like that, in my game

  1. when you catch the ball dont immediately run to the rim, stop for a second..do a move and go..you cant do moves while moving so you have to learn to slow your game down if you wanna do that..but i suggest you dont completely transform into that type of a player becauce coaches hate to much dribbling

  2. Just use it. It will be harder for the defender to guard you if you use crossovers, between the legs dribbles, or other moves constantly.

  3. If they're guarding u tight but mostly point guards should do it

  4. Ok this all depends if they are in 2-3 zone dont try to brake it no disrespect but you aint kobe ai t-mac lebron vince roy or any of those fellas you have a team to pass out and knock down the three if you defender is a reasonable size compared to you cross em once you get passed the 3rd block line if you see them setting up for a charge put your back against them that will give you the oppurtunity to post .Also ifthedefender is larger rise up with your knee that usually scares defenders and it gives you a foot at least from your defender just in case they tryto block  you trust me.

  5. drive in fast and firce and make sure u take only 2 steps before take off layup with 1 hand and make sure not to get the charge called

hope u no how to layup or else there is noo point to it
