Lets say I get blocked by someone while going up for a shot, and I hold on to the ball and both of my feet land on the floor. Is this considered a travel? I usually drop the ball so that I can dribble again.

  1. Yes it is. If you go up with the ball in both hands, and someone pushes the ball away from the basket.. and then you land on the floor with the ball in your hands still. Travel.

If you drop it when the person hits the ball, then it's not traveling.

  2. Baller is wrong. This is not a travel, but instead is a jump ball.

  3. not a travel

  4. That is not a travel. Most of the time when I am in a game it happens to me alot. I'm 4'11 so I get blocked alot. When it happens it is not considered a travel because my defender had touched the ball. You are also allow to drop it.

  5. No, because they touched the ball.
