  1. GB= Games Behind

  2. Lets say the first place team are the Spurs and they own a 4-0 record and the Rockets are 2nd place and own a 2-2 record.  The Rockets are 2 games back, because if the Rockets didnt lose those two games they lost and instead won those two, then their record would be 4-0, the same as the first place team San Antonio Spurs.  Thus they are 2 games back of first palce because they own a 2-2 record.

  3. It stands for games behind. They use it in baseball a lot too. The first place team is 0 GB, then the 2nd place team is the least amount of games behind first place, then third is more games behind, etc etc.

  4. gb stands for games behind n it means how many games a team is behind the 1st place team in that division or conference

  5. GB means games behind. It shows how many games a team is behind the leading team in a conference or division.
