Basketball question i need u guys advice?

Question

ok so i just turned 14 im 5'11 and i wear a size 12

im a girl

and i am often underrated ppl think i cant play

but i can

i can touch the 10 feet rim and im good at steeling dribbling and shooting

and im tryna dunk and tips on how to jumy a bit higher

and i dont care what ppl say

but i love basketball

and its my life

so what should i do

y do ppl think girls cant play(guys answer this )

Girls can definitely play. You must be around too many sexist a******s. If you're as good as you say, then show them what you got when they're around. ;)

lots of girls play basketball........even a basketball team in high school espically for girls

being tall doesn't mean you are good at basketball, it means you have some advantages...but doesn't determine ur good at basketball tho

just keep doing what u love

Just to keep it simple, coming from a man, no matter who you are if you can ball and you having a good time playing then keep on playing.  Just you are a girl so will have distractions every now and then, remember to stay focused and have fun whenever you can.  As for your jumping ability, don't sweat it.  It's not that big of a deal, your skills are more important.

People who thinks girls can't play are usually just spectators and not players themselves. They are used to watching the NBA and playing video games so much that their minds are conditioned into thinking that fancy moves and spectacular dunks make up for good basketball. That sure makes it more entertaining but good basketball can be played by both men and women. Skills are basically the same.

to answer your question why guys think girls can't play basketball is because compared to guys they can't. im not saying girls can't not be good at basketball, im sure there are plenty of girls out there that can shoot better than i can, but im just saying that compared to a guy that is good at basketball, there is no comparison. when girls start dunking and i mean dunking, not that candice parker "dunk," use the same size ball as guys, have the same 3 point line as guys, then they will start being "respected" for their game. people don't like to watch the WNBA where they use a smaller ball, shorter 3 point line, have ugly jumperss and shoot a bunch of layups. its the truth, if you can touch the rim then good for you, and i don't mean that sarcastically.
