Bass hits when i turn off car?

okay i just installed an eq in my car and every time i cut the power, pause or change the track i hear a bump noise from the subs. it only occurred after i installed the eq correctly so why does it do this. before the sound would just cut or soften like it should.help

bad ground at the eq, re ground eq and check ground at amp, also turn gain down at amp
