The Bayern Munich midfielder has recovered from a fractured collarbone and will be available for the fixture against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday.
The Bavarian giants will take on Lucien Favre’s Borussia Monchengladbach in one of the most awaited matches of the weekend. Both sides expect fireworks in the match as the fight for the Bundesliga title resumes this Friday.
Schweinsteiger will make his long awaited return to the first team after suffering a collarbone injury against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 in a UEFA Champions League clash last year. The midfielder has stated that he looking forward to play for his
team after the layoff and admitted that he is fully fit to take part in the fixture.
“I'm fired up about playing again. I'm so looking forward to the Bundesliga. I don't want to be carrying a knock; I want to be top fit,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The German international has set his sights on a win against the Foals and insisted that his side will not play for a draw. He claimed that Bayern want to extend their lead at the top and cannot afford any slip up as Borussia Dortmund
and Schalke are right on their heels.
Schweinsteiger stressed that this is the best time to secure as many points as the UEFA Champions League fixtures are also coming up next month. He is confident of another impressive performance in the Bundesliga and another three
points.
“We're not going to Gladbach looking for a draw, we want to win and set off on a run. It would be good to pick up as many points as we can before we start playing twice a week. We need to return to dominating matches. It's the
level we need to get back to, and I'll do whatever I can to support the team in our efforts,” he concluded.
It will not be easy for Jupp Heynckes’ side at the Borussia Park this Friday as Monchengladbach are the only side, along with Hannover, yet to taste defeat at home this season. The Foals won the reverse fixture in the league in
August with a 1-0 score-line courtesy a goal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Igor-de-Camargo-c16693.
