I went outside to work for a bit in my backyard, i worked until it was dark and i came inside, I bent down to take off my socks and i noticed two small holes in my leg, i know there are many bats in my backyard and ive read about bats not attacking unless threatened, but maybe a rabid bat would? Also, it is swollen, maybe it was a bug bite? but i doubt it would leave two holes, it does not itch at all.

Thanks

  1. This has the symptoms to look for in rabies.

    Just a possibility.

  2. Have it checked out at the doctor. I'm pretty sure that you'd know if a bat bit you though.

  3. if you think it was possible that you were bitten by a bat you should see a doctor. There have been cases of people dying of rabies because they hadn't relized they had been bitten.  Really --see a doctor.  Rabies will kill you and it should be taken seriously

  4. seek medical advice

  5. Bats can carry lissovirus which is similar to rabies. It can be fatal if untreated . See a doctor immediately, just in case.
