Question:

Bath seat for a baby - nearly 8 months old??

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a bath seat for my nearly 8 month old son?? At the moment we have a bath support that he lies down on but now that he can sit up by himself I would like to get him a safe seat. I wouldn't want him to just sit up with no surrounding support as the bottom of the bath can get quite slippery and even though I have no intention of leaving him alone in the bath I would still like to be safe. Obviously it would have to be something that would enable us to still be able to wash him properly all over without having to lift him to much. Any suggestions would be welcome.

  1. Tesco do a great one, i use it for my son and he loves it!

  2. Please if you do get this seat, dont think for a second they will be fine to be left unattended.

  3. Safety 1st Swivel Baby Infant Bathtub Ring Seat Chair.  You'll find several different models at stores that carry infant items such as Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Target and Walmart.

  4. We got a swivel bath seat that looked a bit like the seat of a baby swing, but i have to say my son hated it, he couldn't splash or anything because he's hit his arms on the sides. In the end we got one of those non-slip mats that old people have and just sat him on that, he's much happier and can play easily without slipping. You need to keep a good eye on them, but it's cheaper and I think more effective.

  5. just put him in the firkin bath, he's going to be safe! or get in with him, what do you think ppl did b4 all these stupid little safety   was invented, thats this centuries children are psychologically week, too much molly coddling!

  6. I have a Safety First seat which has suction pads to stick it to the bath and it swivels so it's easy to wash them.  You can get them in Asda or Toys r Us. I think they are about £12.

  7. They have the bath seats that actually sit up and the baby can sit up in... There is a place for the babies legs to go in and sometimes they even have little toys on them but make sure you get one that is safety first and actually locks on to the side of the bath tub... The ones with the suction cups are not always very safe...Here is a web site that you should go to and you can see which bath tub I am talking about. Just copy and paste it into the search bar and the bath tub I am talking about is called safety first tub side bath tub.

  8. as babys its always best to hold them, sit with him in the bath and if this is to much to do just bathe him in a sink which is much smaller and they like it because its not so big

  9. Target sells an inflatable rubber ducky for only 10 dollars. Very cute, and my daughter loves it! It quacks also :)

  13. When my daughter was about that age, I was worried about the bottom being to slippery, so I just put a towel in the bottom of the tub so it wouldn't be slippery and if she fell she wouldn't hit the hard tub.

When I wasn't using the towel I had a bath ring that worked well.

    I used this one: http://www.cabbageleafkids.com/aqbari.ht...
