Question:

Bathroom cabinets and drawers?

I bought my first house last year and love everything about it - except the bathrooms. There are no drawers in the bathrooms at all. I have no place to put all of my toiletries. I bought a small plastic shelf with drawers - but it looks very tacky, IMO.

So... advice? Do I have any options other than remodeling the whole bathroom?

  1. they make a shelf unit floor to ceiling that fits against the wall over the toilet tank  no drawers thou

  2. I wish I knew a bit more about what you did have in your bathroom. For instance, what type of vanity cabinet do you have? Do you have a linen closet in the bathroom?

Many cabinet and closet manufactures have accessories that can be installed inside existing closets or cabinets. Closet Maid for one sells drawer units that can be installed inside cabinets for easier access to items.

If that's not what your looking for then see what you can do with replacing your bathroom vanity. Hopefully you can still use your existing sink in a new top.

I hope that this helps. Good luck.

  3. If you have a double sink vanity, then you have plenty of room to replace that vanity with a combo unit that has drawers - see this link for ideas: http://www.kraftmaid.com/media/pdf/Bath%...

That gives you an opportunity to get a new countertop, sink, and maybe even faucet.

Or you can check out Lowe's in the cabinetry section for after-market pull out accessories to insert in your existing vanity.  Just keep in mind where your plumbing is to make sure anything you get will fit in with the pipes. Good luck!
