The metal plate where the wax ring sits and where the commode's bolts are anchored is loose because the concrete holes for the plate screws are worn. How can I s***w the plate to the floor?

  1. u need an extension that sits on top of the existing drain and then the toilet bolts to it

  2. What possibly happened was the original anchors rusted.

Go to home depot and buy some Stainless Steel Tapcons in the s***w Isle they usually come with a concrete drill bit.

If you are drilling 2 holes you dont need a hammer drill to drill into concrete.(will take a little longer and extra pressure)

Follow the directions on the back of the box.

  3. heres wiki on how to repair a toilet

  4. Are you saying that the bolts are loose in the concrete?

Get some "sulphur".  Heat it slowly in a metal container.

When it turns to liquid, pour that around the bolts in the concrete.

Work quickly on the site.  It hardens quickly.

In a short time you can't budge the bolts.  Be sure the bolts are "plumb" to fit the plate holes.

Be carefil when tightening the bolts on the base of cammode.  you can easily crack that.

  5. Concrete patch ?

    Or JB Weld

  6. My suggestion would be to either get larger diameter bolts to anchor the flange, or to use an epoxy glue made to anchor screws into concrete. This is available in the big box hardware stores in the concrete section.
