Bathroom decor question?

a few questions. i have a small bathroom that needs to be redone. i'll be removing the ugly brown tiles from the walls but can't decide if the walls should just be drywalled and painted white or if i should put up some wainscoting (and paint that white). what do you think?

i think this is the new shower curtain i'm going to get.

what color tie-shade? green, orange, purple, white or black?

would a terry cloth tie-shade look good?

(here's a tie-shade in case you don't know what they are)

  1. I would paint the walls the sage green colour. It will pull it out of the curtain and it would reflect the earthy/vintage theme of the curtain. Also,I would go with a neutral shade. I would go for a creme or an off-white. I see nothing wrong with the material being terry cloth.

Btw,I love that shower curtain.Good choice. Let me know what you choose.

  2. Hi! I'm a wainscoting fan... especially in smaller bathrooms.  I just think it adds some charm and whimsey.

Also - with that shower curtain - I would go with the limey/avacado green in it for your curtain... TOTALLY cute!   Or - if you want to paint the walls in that sort of a fresh asparagus green color (above the white wainscoting) - you could then do the curtains also in white (so that if you change the shower curtain later it will STILL match) - and you can add some little thing on your own for a pop of color!

Sounds great - hope you post pics!
