  1. why do people keep asking about the Joker?

they've never repeated a charector and he's in jail in case you didnt catch the movie Dark Knight

  2. Jim Carrey has already played the role of the riddler in one of the past batman movies, so he might have higher chances in getting cast as the new joker but then again, his acting is quite diffrent from heath ledger's.

  3. No no no, no new Joker!!!!  Ledger did such a fantastic job that replacing him would 1) make the next movie suck and 2) be an insult to his memory and an insult to all of his fans.  Nolan won't use the Joker again, and if he does, it'll only be as a cameo so he can either kill him off or do something with the character so there'll be no questions as to what happened to him.  And in that case, it won't matter who they cast.

  4. i read somewhere that they'll use joker again, but you won't get a clear shot of his face.

they can have anyone play the body of joker (i.e. the back of his head or whatever)

and they have some recorded joker dialogue that they can splice up and use in the next film.

so the joker will probably be sitting in a padded cell, with the lights dimmed, and he'll probably say a line or two.

but he won't be a huge part of the story.

i say they use ra's al guhl's daughter and the penguin. the penguin's a gangster and that would fit perfectly in Christopher Nolan's vision of Batman and Gotham City.

  5. It's funny you mention Carey because the villain in the last movie is rumored to be The Riddler.  Heath's performance cannot be matched.  So, I think producers will stay clear of The Joker.  Also I expect them to stay clear of Jim Carey since Batman Forever was a terrible movie, and if they cast him the two movies would be compared too much.  Matthew Lilliard? Seriously? Why, would any credible movie want to do that to themselves.  If The Joker does appear I expect t to be in a very small capacity.

  6. They wouldn't do Jim Carrey because they already used him before for the Riddler and they want to stay clear of the original movies.  Also, there is no way they would use mathew lillard, not in a million years.

If they are going to bring back the Joker, then they will most likely use a more famous actor.

  7. I think they're most likely to kill him off, due to Heath Ledger's death. I mean he got caught by the police near the end of the movie. So I think they're going to say that the police shot him.

  8. No one can ever come close to how good the joker did in dark knight! the rest of the sequals will be a lotttt worse. it sucks that he's dead! he was an amazing actor. I dont think they'll do either people

  9. I think the next Chris Nolan Batman film should leave Heath's Joker alone.  He did it, amazingly and they should leave it at that.

But if they ABSOLUTELY HAD TO CAST ANOTHER JOKER..I'd vote for Johnny Depp or....hmmm..nevermind..just Johnny Depp.  There is no one else with the necessary eccentricity to do the role justice after Heath's devastating departure.

Definitely no comedian...that would put the film back in with all of the cheesy comic book films Nolan worked so hard to break free of.  They need a serious actor who can portray him as realistically psycho as possible.

  10. Neither, because Jim Carry is way over the top and would be cracking jokes that we'ren't so sinisterly crazy.  Matthew Lillard is just too much of a stoner type to be a serious joker.  In all honesty, we'll probably never get the same "Joker" that Heath Ledger died for.

  11. They won't EVER cast a new Joker. Matthew Lillard and Jim carrey have been suggested for the role of the riddler but they will never bring the Joker back
