Batman: Arkham City, Forza 4 or FIFA 12? Who topped the Xbox 360 Charts?
Another week has gone by in the gaming industry in the United Kingdom and the sales figures are in for the Xbox 360 game sales charts.
At first glance there is plenty of movement in the charts with a few interesting trends beginning to emerge, but the real question is if Batman: Arkham City managed to glide its way into first place or whether Forza Motorsport 4 did just enough to keep pole
position.
10. Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure: The purple dragon from every gamer’s childhood marks it return in Activision Blizzard’s Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, which does just enough to debut in the top ten.
9. F1 2011: Codemasters continued living up to their reputation by delivering another sublime racing game with F1 2011. Debuting at number on the PlayStation 3 and PC charts when it was first released, the game seems to have time in the
top ten at a premium.
8. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: it seems that something about augmentations and punching through walls seems to fascinate the Xbox 360 gaming demographic of the United Kingdom as the game continues to sell well.
7. Dead Island: Zombies have a special place in every gamer’s heart and the fact that Dead Island is continuing to sell well is a testament to that. However, if the game does not have any DLC in the near future it could very well fall off
the charts.
6. Pro Evolution Soccer 2012: Konami will be disappointed with the sales figures of their latest instalment of their long running football simulation series, as the game only managed a top place finish in Japan.
5. Rage: beautiful in a grotesque, post-apocalyptic way, Rage is a game players will either fall in love with or hate from the bottom of their hearts. The first person shooter tried to do something different and from the sales figures at
least, it seems to have done enough to satisfy a large number of gamers.
4. Gears of War 3: the final chapter of the Marcus Fenix’s trilogy gave the game’s protagonist and his squad a fitting farewell. Gears of War 3 had one of the largest opening weekends in the United Kingdom this year and another strong week
of sales will have done no have to Epic Games, its developer.
3. FIFA 12: the game that broke the sales record for any sports game that Electronic Arts has ever released, FIFA 12, continues to sell well in the charts as it maintains a place in the top three.
2. Forza Motorsport 4 and 1. Batman: Arkham City: It seems that the supercars of today are no match for the Batmobile, as Batman: Arkham City takes the top spot in its opening week. The game has averaged over 90% on Metacritic and it sure
to be a nominee for ‘game of the year’.
