Batman: Arkham City Challenge mode, Konami launches Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 on Xbox 360
Rocksteady have recently leaked a few teasing details about the Challenge Mode which players can expect in the second Batman instalment from the studio.
Batman: Arkham City is also set to get the Challenge Mode which became a magnet for comlpetionists and casual gamers alike. Not related to the storyline, the Challenge Mode pits Batman against enemy foes in a number of challenges ranging from taking on a
number of enemies to stealth missions.
The mode was just as addictive as the lengthy and rich single player campaign. OXM had some firsthand experience with the game and the persons reviewing it had nothing but praise.
Staying slightly off topic from the actual Challenge mode, they did have this to say about how Batman: Arkham City looks in 3D and to be honest it was exciting news, “We’re (OXM) not usually massive spokesperson for the merits of 3D gaming, but you’ve already
got a fancy TV knocking around then by all means toggle the extra dimension, because Arkham City looks flipping fantastic.”
The combat has been tweaked as well, as gamers can expect far more depth, both in terms of animations as well as in combat mechanics. The caped crusader can now pull off multiple doges, which will be context sensitive and gamers will have to time their counter
attacks as opposed to spamming the button.
OXM concluded, “It’s time to learn some new moves,” before going to state that it was more exciting that the time Batman had to face since Australian Academy Award winning actress, Nicole Kidman.
Moving on from men dressed as Bats, fighting crime and other people dressed up in costumes to the very real world of football. When we say real, we of course mean the video game version and to get even more specific, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012.
The long awaited and much delayed Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 demo has finally been announced to hit the Xbox 360.
While the PlayStation 3 and PC got their hands on a demo for the game in the previous month, Xbox fans did not get the same opportunity with the first demo. The reason was put down to issues from Microsoft’s side.
Konami explained that once they hand the demo version over to the platform it is the latter’s responsibility to put it up and make it available for play. Something Microsoft was unable to do the first time around.
However, Xbox 360 fans can rejoice as the second demo will be making its way onto the console as well as hitting the PlayStation Network and PCs also.
With FIFA 12’s demo out at the same time, it will be interesting to see which game has the early advantage.
