Rocksteady and Warner Bros. have announced ‘the final chapter’ in the second Batman game with additional DLC focused around Harley Quinn.
Rocksteady, the game’s developer, are set to sign off from Arkham City, the immensely successful sequel to their original title, Batman: Arkham Asylum, in some style.
The studio not only announced the Game of the Year edition of the game, which is set to be released by on the 29th of May, but also confirmed one last DLC pack for the game.
The DLC is titled ‘Harley Quinn’s Revenge’ and is set to take place after the events of the second game and focuses on Harley Quinn, as the title implies. Rocksteady are teasing this as the ‘final chapter’ of the game and that means that they will move on to working on another project, which, if the rumours are to be believed, could be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.
As for the special edition, the game will not only include all the features of the originally released title but it will also have all the DLCs thrown in for good measure as well. That includes the Catwoman DLC along with the Robin and Nightwing DLC as well.
It sounds like a good deal for any of those who hesitated to give the game a try the first time round, and still ought to be a collector’s item for those who are into this sort of thing (that includes us).
In fact, the official Batman: Arkham City twitter account (@arkhamcitynews) gamers should definitely finish the game before giving the DLC a try.
The tweet read, “If you haven't finished Batman: Arkham City and want to know why Harley Quinn is looking so heartbroken, you have until May 29th/30th”
With just over a month to go for the Game of the Year edition to finally hit shelves it is time to perhaps get the bat-suit out of the closet and dust it off. Then again, that may just be us, we like being Batman whenever we can. It’s cool to be Batman.
On a more serious note gamers who are interested in the Game of the Year edition should jot down the 29th of May on their calendars.
