Batman: Arkham City gets Xbox 360 Bundle and On-Live console free with any pre-order
There is a significant amount of marketing building-up to the release of Batman: Arkham City as two distinct, yet equally enticing offers have made themselves public. The first has to do with gamers receiving an On-Live console absolutely free when they
pre-order a copy of Batman: Arkham City.
For those in the gaming community, or otherwise, who do not know what On-Live is, the console is the first piece of mainstream technology which allows players to use cloud gaming instead of the standard consoles which we have become used to.
It comes with a mini-console which is no larger than a computer’s hard disk drive and a controller allows gamers to play any game on virtually any device at any time. Albeit, as long as there is an internet connection available.
On-Live is still a fairly new piece of technology and the gaming community is still warming to the idea, which has not taken-off as yet. However, it seems that marketing gurus are trying to carve out a slice of the market by offering an On-Live console free
with any pre-ordered copy of the latest Batman game.
If, however, gamers already have an On-Live console, there is still incentive for them to pre-order the game anyway, as they will be given a free game instead. Whichever way one looks at it, it sounds like a pretty good deal.
The console is priced at £ 69.99 and the game itself is available to gamers who have the On-Live PlayPack package for a mere 27 Pounds.
Sticking to conventional consoles, however, Microsoft is looking to move a few of their consoles as images of a Batman: Arkham City Xbox 360 Bundle recently hit the web, along with all details of what would be included.
The console will set interested buyers back £ 244 or € 279.99, and will come with a 250GB Xbox 360 S. The console itself will come in a matte-black finish and the controller which comes along with it will follow the same colour scheme.
The lack of Batman: Arkham City art on the console is sure to disappoint a majority of fans as this means that the only thing which will set this console apart from the standard ones is the fact that it comes with a copy of the game.
The Bundle was advertised on the German arm of online retail giant, Amazon, which dates the release of the Arkham City bundle on October 21.
With two different incentives to buy the game either with a cloud gaming console or a standard Xbox 360, it will be up to the gamer and size of their wallets to choose which one suits them better.
